♥ holy...
Apparently "Wii would like to play"... I was just now looking around online at video games for Christmas and I found this article http://www.gamespot.com/news/6202059.html?tag=latestheadlines;title;1 Over 800,000 wii's got sold between November 23rd and the 29th alone! That just seems so crazy to me since the economy is supposedly "down" right now, do the math, $350 x 800,000 = $280,000,000 spent by Americans in only one week on entertainment alone... Those little Asian guys are getting some pretty fat pockets for Christmas this year.
Christmas shopping went pretty well for me (Although I didn't contribute to the $280,000,000 as mentioned above, not to say I wouldn't want to.) I managed to knock 8 more people off of my list leaving me with only 3 left.. My nephew, my brother, and my future in-laws, but we will wait till I get a little more cash accumulated before I start with them, especially my nephew. He always gets a ton of gifts on Christmas and his birthday (which is only 5 days before Christmas) so I feel the need to fallow trend and spend a lot on him every year as well. Don't get me wrong he is fun to buy for and I love seeing his face when he opens gifts but his mom's side of the family has always made it into this huge event every year spending what must be $100's, and my family just can't to compete with that.. I hate how Christmas has become such a competition in my family, it's like you're a bad person if you can't afford the biggest and best gifts. I am a strong believer in the old "it is better to give than to receive" saying, but there are times when you simply don't have a lot to give, and correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't think Christmas was about feeling like a heel because you don't make enough money to spend $100+ for each person on your list.
Anywho...
